New Gingerbread OTA leak

The update went smooth. (had to do it while driving to work) Wow, GB looks great and runs smooth. I want to do a full wipe, but they seemed to have changed the buttons to get to recovery. Anyone seem to know how to do it on GB?

EDIT: Just press the volume up & down buttons to get to the screen. Wipe successful

Im just arriving to the party. Well isnt this somethin. The day after I settle in on SBFn back to 2.3.3. and getting Liberty 2.0.1 settled, THIS comes out! lol Sounds like you guys are gona have a blast with that

Can someone please list steps on how to install this file. I have the file. I am aware i need to rename it update.zip. I dont know where to put the file. I know how to get into recovery and install. Can someone please help me

NOTE: i am not rooted and am running 2.2.1

Mmm conspiracy theory: What about if you do not take this update, then big red will know that you are rooted and you will get red flagged and your cell service will stop working.

And of course I am joking...

Hopefully this OTA can get Rooted, I love installing themes on my phone...

More likely, I think, is that not taking the update will red flag you with Verizon so that they know to closely watch your data usage in case you tether without a plan. If they catch you tethering without a plan, then bad news for you. I don't think they'll go after people who simply have rooted phones.

youll see it on the main blog almost certainly when root is achieved (word is that p3droid hopes to have this rooted later tonight; we'll see)

If the past is any indication they will have a rooted version within 24 hours.

It will be posted on front page of most good Droid blogs. Been coming out of my Droid world and team black hat app lately.

Probably a total bonehead question here, but I'm running rubiX Focused 2.0.1. Do I need to go back to stock Froyo before I install the new GB or can I just lay it on as is?

Just wipe before installing and you should be fine.
