Anyone got a working download site?
I have been trying for an hour to find one through the endless forums that are reporting on this and so far havent found one site/mirror that is still up :-(

I have the sync icon too. Alot of us did with the deodex too. I cant remember the fix right now. And yes RSD is finicky.
Jedi: I made a post a few pages back about that last night. Somehow the bootloader knows the z4 app or something ccuz it literally killed the app on me,lol. Its ok WE SHALL BE ROOTED! soon enough

On another thread in here somewhere, someone said the fix is to do a factory reset and the sync icon will work as it's supposed to.
Just for ppl who like doin the twitter thing...

I decided to try the method we've been using when we've rooted the phone. I put the phone back into the recovery mode and did data wipe, then rebooted. That seems to have done the trick.
All you have to do is:
1) Use RSD Lite to flash the sbf
2) Download the Update
3) Rename the file update.zip and put it on your sd card
4) Reboot phone into recovery by holding the power button and the home button
5) Press the search button
6) Choose install update.zip

The only greater release I'll be in line for like this is next Monday's midnight sale at GameStop for Mortal Kombat
For the sync icon issue I believe if you go into "My accounts" make sure Picasa isnt trying to sync. That is the issue for me alot of the time. Also PC Mode can cause this after using RSD. Change it to USB Mass Storage or Charge only and it may go away otherwise factory reset.
I dont see why not since it is a stock app and in reality this is the stock ROM. So to speak. Wireless Tether will be the question for those who dare try it with all the Big Red scare tactics we went thru past couple of weeks.
Yea that's what I meant the wireless tethering app I caved in and paid the 20$ a month to Verizon and just want to make sure I can use it before I upgrade.
you should be fine since you paid for it that makes it an activated service
