New Gingerbread OTA leak

I wonder if all the Gingercomb Juice 2.3 theme stuff and the extras+CRT animation packages will install on this like we had with the first release...remember these things Wildman was gracious enough to put together. I miss that flashy honeycomb boot anim. Only one way to find out. Buckle up!

Deodex your Ginger..

I got Wildman's juiced 3.2 theme running, the sexy Honeycomb boot anim works, and the extras+CRT.zip works as well! Good to go. Finally. Thats it no more GB updating! (ugly screenshot cuz im still workin on it)

yeah.. not being rooted is what I was worried about.

If something goes wrong while you're installing Gingerbread -- and I've seen many posts from new people who are having problems with the installation files -- you'll have to SBF back to stock unrooted Froyo and start all over again. Please make sure you know how to do that.

Good luck.

What is that battery widget you have that displays the battery as a circle? How did you get it in the notification area?

Well the battery icon in the notify bar is part of Wildman's Juiced theme and the white one(color adjustable) right below the bar is Circle Battery Widget

Balsey imo. LoL! He's one eager beaver! Though he is from Jersey so maybe its something else... ;)

Haha Ive said it in threads before and Ill say it again, Ill try anything on this phone for two simple reasons:

1. 99% positive it can handle it
2. Theres always recovery!

Good lord this has been an adventure. Just flashed the deodexed update, dropped the HC boot animation in place. I also got the pesky "endless sync" in the notification after the first flash-a-thon, but wiped data and cache prior to this last deodexed flash, so hopefully that'll fix it.

NOTE: HUGE thanks to everyone that put this together - it is just awesome.

Just to make final my screenshot from before to show the theme off. I'm reading up on how it all worked without deodexing. Now my X is where I want it.

New to the droid game

Im New to the Droid game and I need some help someone point me in the right direction please my surent sys ver. 2.3.340.MB810.VERIZON.EN.US how do I install the new Gingerbread update. HELP!!!!!!!!

I have a question, I installed the rooted build of GB OTA 4.5.588 but I have notice something strange, before I setup any info or accounts, including google the sync icon for email sync activates and doesn't go away, I have waited almost a hour and it still active but I do not know what it is syncing

The previous build did this usually after gmail was setup but now it starts as soon as I connect to wifi or 3g..

Has anyone else notice this and is there a reason?

Do you have a nandroid of your previous setup (like, from right before the installation of the rooted build)? If so, you can do an advanced restore of your data and avoid setting up all over again. That's what I did, and I didn't have any sync issues.

I will give that a try...

THANKS that seem to work perfectly and resolved the issue...

Ok, so I have the rooted GB leak. If I have an unrooted Froyo backup, can I just flash back to that, or do I still need to SBF back?

This version is no different than the other, you have to SBF and restore with backup after back at Froyo stock...

Damn the one fav tweak of Liberty and Im not gona have it,lol. Oh well. Im not going thru any more ROM changes. Has annyone else been able to theme without deodexing like I was able to? I'm still trying to learn why.

You really dont have to deodex to theme a rom but by doing so it makes editing files easier.
