New Gnex - How to transfer apps from OG?

Got my Gnex in the mail yesterday from Verizon. I turned the phone on, entered my gmail address, and it started syncing. I noticed it even started syncing the apps I had on my OG Droid. (I know this because when I hit home it asked me if I wanted to use Launcher or ADW.) Sweet! But then I went to unlock the bootloader (first thing, right?). Got that done, phone wiped and rebooted. I re-entered the gmail address, and it synced my contacts, but it did not sync the apps this time. Crap.

Is there a way to tell the phone to go get the apps? I just don't want to have to download each of them individually from the Market. And if it might sync app settings obviously that would be even better! Do I need an app to do this? It looked like it was doing it by itself when I first logged in to Google before the bootloader unlock.

TIA!

When I unlocked the bootloader on mine, it downloaded the apps again from the Market on it's own. It shouldn't matter that the bootloader is unlocked, so you might just reboot the phone and see if it does it properly. Also, you could turn wifi on and connect that way; perhaps it'll do it then. I was connected to wifi when I unlocked the BL on mine.

If you go to the market and then 'my apps' you should see everything you've downloaded. Mine automatically started downloading. I actually had to stop because it was so many and was killing the battery.

Have you loaded up the Market yet and gone to Menu > My Apps? They might be all listed under the "not installed" section. Perhaps if you turn on Auto update it'll start downloading them.

Auto update is on. Market installed. Went into the Market and to My Apps. Saw them all there, but it just wasn't downloading. I decided to go in and download them manually. A pain and it sucked a ton of battery, but oh well, it's done.

So I guess the question is still unanswered. If anyone knows it would be good to document for future searches. Thanks.

IMO that's the best way is to just install directly from 'MyApps' because it's a cloud of everything. Since there is no memory card in the Nexus we cannot use apps to backup to an SD and then move to another device. One way or another, any backup method will require some sort of re-downloading. Doing it from 'myapps' is easiest IMO because everything is there and a touch of a button to being to your new phone.

My paid apps were there but not the free ones. I wonder why.

That's interesting. All of mine were there. Soon as I put in my info they all just started downloading and I only paid for 1 app ever, titanium backup premium. Same thing for my Rezound.
