new google maps not rendering 3D buildings

i just updated to the new Google Maps 5 and everthing is running very smoothly with the exception that im not seeing any 3D buildings when i zoom in and tilt the map. Is there a certain setting that can fix this?

it's just specific cities and areas, not all. check google maps to see which ones are 3D.
