Hello! I'm new to android, having obtained a Nook Color for Mother's Day and an HTC Evo Shift 4g this week. I'm not very tech savy, so I'm hoping I can get some help here for connectivity problems. The Nook Connects to the phone's hotspot, and I can access the web from the Nook. But I can't get B&N's Shop to work. The circle simply runs contantly, as if it's still searching for something. Essentially freezes in any browse or search mode or if I try to download or open a book. Barnes and Noble is no help because they say that it's a router problem. But how do I know anything about my router for the Shift's hotspot? Thanks in advance!

Have you tried connecting the nook to another "normal" hotspot? By that I mean not a tether trough a phone. I know AT&T blocks ports on their 3G network, so that may be the problem.
