Hi all,

I am new here. Recently bought a Pixel 2 XL, yes made my switch from IOS to Android. It's definitely a little getting used to. But want to learn more from the community here. Hope I am also able to contribute some.

Nice to "meet" you all.

Welcome along...the 2XL will certainly be a bit different from IOS but I`m sure you`ll soon get used to the new OS and really enjoy using your new phone:cool:

Welcome to Android Central! :)

How are you enjoying the Pixel 2 XL so far?

Thanks a lot everyone. I always like a stock Android, can't stand Samsung or any other Android phone (I am sure others have different opinions and I respect that).

I am liking it so far, the Freedom to do whatever is really cool. My last Android was a Samsung S III. Since then it was only iPhone.

The camera on this Pixel 2 XL is AMAZING, may be better than iPhone X. Just one think, wish Google puts a little more effort in the eye candy department, otherwise all good (so far).

Welcome fellow Pixel 2 XL owner! I've had mine since it was released 6 months ago and it's been superb. And you're sure not wrong about the excellence of this camera!

Welcome to the forums, the beautiful land of Android and the Pixel 2 XL family! Enjoy

By the way, I was very dishearted for not getting a headset with such an expensive Pixel 2 XL. I knew it doesn't come with one in the box before I bought it, but still. I use the headset of my old iPhone and it's control button functions to change sound tracks forward and backward don't work on Pixel 2 XL as they are supposed to
ROOKIE MOVE GOOGLE :'(

Is that the stock iPhone headphones? I have Bluetooth and wired and all controls work on mine. I guess it's another reason why apple are getting more and more frowned upon, they keep you very closed in to their ecosystem. Welcome to pixel tho, it's fun playing with it.

Welcome to Android Central, and to the world of Pixel and stock Android! The 2 XL is a fantastic phone and a great choice - congratulations! The Pixel 2 forums are very active here; so feel free to browse around and to ask questions! Let us know if you need anything!

There's also a sub-forum section about Pixel 2 accessories; so stop by over there too if you're looking for anything in particular for your new phone!

Enjoy!

Yes it's the stock iPhone headset from my iPhone 6s Plus which has the 3.5 mm audio jack that fits very well with USB-C headphone adapter that came with Pixel 2

Thanks all, yes I have started posting my questions on this forum, very active community! Glad to be here :)

Apple headsets dont work correctly with an Android phone...as far as I know ,they never have, the wiring setup is not compatible.

Welcome to Android Central! I use my buds from my iPhone 6s with my Pixel 2 all the time, but I also use Beats bt buds when I am working out or hiking. They both work fine.
