I'm looking at CM10 Nighties for the HTC EVO 4G LTE; anyone have any experience with this ROM? Reviews seem good.
And will I need to back up my contacts/app data/etc before I put a new ROM on my phone? I figure I do, but I wanted to be sure.
Edit: Also, I'm wanting to update my phone from ICS 4.0.4 to the latest version of Jelly Bean (I'm pretty sure it was supposed to come with Jelly Bean; at least that's what it said on the web site). Is OTA RootKeeper the best app for maintaining root privileges across the update?
The CM10 stable build definitely works pretty nicely, I actually prefer sense now though. The one downside is that since image sense has certain custom camera drivers, the quality I've gotten on CM10 has never been as good as on Sense ROMs.
I don't have any experience with root keeper utilities. I'd highly advise you to just flash the rooted stock jelly bean ROM if you want the update. Much safer and much easier in my opinion.
