Android Central Question

Can anyone help? This square icon next to the volume icon in the status bar just appeared tonight and I have no clue what it is or how to turn off or disable. It looks like the outline of the phone frame.

Thank you and I have a Samsung S8. I also attached a screenshot.

Thanks... I actually just corrected by accessing the ADB settings. I inadvertently tried to disable some of the icons from the status bar, which triggered the "portrait" icon to appear. I blacklisted "rotate" on ADB and now it is gone.

A bit more complicated than I thought and now I got curious :) Are you trying to mimic, through adb, the System UI Tuner that Samsung didn't included in their devices?

Yes sir. Not sure why Samsung decided not to include as I think customizing Android phones are a big reason I choose them over Apple.

No idea, but it's not only Samsung. Many other OEMs didn't include the UI Tuner on their devices.

Many users have been asking in the forums about this, would you like to share the method you used?

I'm going to move your thread to the S8 forum for better visibility.
