New iPhone 6 Features

Yes the case could possibly be hindering it. I've used NFC for ISIS/SoftCard at McDonald's on both my S5 and Note 3.

Well it was user error. I had to select my debit card in wallet as the default pay method and select wallet as the default click to pay app. My bad. Went back for an apple pie and it worked

There ya go. And wasn't that SO much simpler than having to reach into your wallet and swipe your credit card? GOD!! How did our parents manage??

But now, with Apple getting on board, we'll hopefully be able to use at more and more places.

No iphone 6 32g option & a 16g unlocked version will run you $649. are you kidding me..

Re: New ithing

Apple just reverse engineered what google had already created.

Speculation at best in terms of how well it will take off due solely to Apple.

That said, given their accountability on a recent photo issue, would anyone in their right mind trust their financial transactions to be processed on the same device? Ehhh never mind, of course they will.

What? That photo issue is not in the same league as Applepay. Do you even know about the photo issue? No Apple servers were hacked. Some guy with a large collection of friends sat down and guessed the password to a couple of icloud accounts. That's all it was. That can happen to any account including your google account. Apple recommends you set a STRONG password but I guess most people are too busy to make up a 16 character password. The thing that was lacking was a 2 factor verification. That has been added as an option now.

With Applepay, your cc information is not in some cloud. It never leaves you phone. EVER. The same with Google Wallet. It's not in any cloud but stored on the Secured Element on the phone. Apple doesn't see this information nor do that record what you purchase like Google Wallet does. I can never trust google wallet again. I used it on my Nexus at a few local stores and I started getting advertisments in my Chrome browser for those stores. I was like WT*. Why is google tracking my purchases?

Samsung Galaxy S5 $649. The iphone is priced inline with others. Plus iphones have better resale. Go to swappa. I sold my 5s for $480. This is a yr old phone. That's what the just released SGS5 are selling for.

Ah $649 is for the 4.7" screened 6 not the 5.5 which in 16g is $749. The s5 is 5.2" which fits in the middle IMO. So your getting a larger screen than the 4.7" 6 BUT youre also getting TW and carrier ware with the s5 so its about on par with te restrictive iphone 6 IOS. Youre right they do hold there value well.

I don't like TouchWiz, but it's not as restrictive as iOS. You can still change launchers, set default apps, use widgets on your home screen, download stuff from the browser, and use icon packs. And that's just off the top of my head :p

It's not about the specs. I would prefer stock Android over iOS, but the iPhone 6 wrecks the Nexus 4 in basically everything. Better camera, better battery life, and better CPU+GPU.

Isnt' the Nexus 4 like 3 years old? I would certainly hope any new phone "wrecks it." I'm somehow not impressed that the iPhone 6 is better than an old Nexus. Let's see how it compares to the Nexus 6.

Had a s3 and yes you could do those things but between TW and the carrier ware it was really sluggo. Pitched for a moto x

I still love that TW allows you to easily change fonts to any font. I know stock Android requires root for that. Not sure about Sense, but LG at least has some font options.

Can someone explain to me why everyone is talking about the new iphones features as if they are new and apple invented them?
Because apple's main strength is marketing.

Design used to be it's main strength too, but the Moto 360/iWatch has proven that is no longer true.

Just saying that the numbers are meaningless. The CPU and GPU are probably going to be better than anything aside from the Tegra K1. Seeing as the A7 already is

...on paper. But as you said, the numbers are meaningless. In reality the performance will look the same. The A8 is not going to be faster than the competition on any level that a non-nerd would notice.

This is how the competition went last generation. Draw your own conclusions.
