New issue cropping up losing keyboard

Going on two months with my Note 8 and love everything about it for the most part. I have an issue that I've now had pop up twice where I got type a text and my preferred keyboard - Swype - has been 'lost' and I have to go in and reselect it. Anyone else have this issue with this or any other keyboard? More annoying than anything. The keyboard app is still there. It's even still selected when the menu pops up but I have to unselect it and then reselect it.

Have you tried clearing the cache you can do that by app when you can also do that in recovery mode and wipe the entire cache on the phone but usually clears up pretty much most of the glitches

I have this exact same issue and it's cropped up over last couple weeks. It's not dependent on restarting, etc. I do notice when I choose to re-enable a keyboard, some of them do give me the message I'll need to unlock my phone before enabling the app. Which doesn't make much sense for a keyboard, it's just an automated message.

My only thought is, my exchange account for work requires a lot of system controls be given to the account. Do you have one on your phone?

Regardless, this is incredibly annoying.

I do not have an exchange account for work. I have three email accounts I use, two Hotmail and one Gmail. I recent did change over to a new email app - TypeApp - over Outlook. I'm not sure if this is the issue. It's been so random that I have as yet been unable to find the common denominator as to why it occurs. But I do agree that it's incredible annoying.
 
This problem seemed to have sorted itself out for a few weeks but today right back to it! Very annoying. Anyone else having this issue? If so, what keyboard are you using and what carrier.
