Received update to Google Messages and now I have 3 categories ... All, Personal, and Business. Not bad Google ... Not bad at all. Anyone receive the update and do like/use it?

I received that update recently along with iMessage reactions. I like it and am currently using categories.

Have the beta versoon so already had it. Good that it's rolling out to everyone

I too now have this categorization. However, I no longer have the ability to send videos by link. Does anyone know how to get it back or is it gone?

Video link?? ... You mean like a YouTube link?

Where is this Category thing/feature that people speak of? How does one set/apply a category?

It has to rollout to you, nothing you have to do on your end. When it hits your Messages app you will see ALL / PERSONAL / BUSINESS categories at the top of the Messages list and you can click each to filter texts by those categories.

I'll keep an eye out for it, and also whether or not it magically appears, vs if it only shows up after an app update (I don't have any apps set to auto update).

It showed up for me the other morning, no app update. The new iMessage reactions did appear after an app update, but not Categories.

Here's how it looks on a Samsung device.

I think it's rolling out to everyone with Messages. I thought so? Slow rollout, obviously.

I just got an iPhone reaction from my mother-in-law and it actually didn't come through as a text message! I'm very excited! Maybe I should check to see if I actually have Categories already... Lool.

Previously, when I wanted to send a video I would tap the video and it would automatically create a link in Messages. Alas that feature has disappeared and I cannot set it in Settings.

For me, I hit "share" from within other stuff, and then it gives me options for how I'd like to do the share, like via email, SMS, copy to clipboard, via other apps, etc...

I wonder if Messages will learn which of my conversations with my work colleagues are considered "Business" and not "Personal." Right now the only threads that are considered Business are a couple of OTP texts and a prescription refill notification from Costco.
