Hey guys, I just received my moto x(2014) from motorola, love the phone (upgraded from 2013 version,

My screen looks oily...(like a layer of oil/something/glue between screen and the glass, I can see its physical because when i scroll the image moves underneath the fuzzyness/oilyness)

is this something that will go away over time or do i need to exchange it?

(best description: it looks like i just took my face off the phone after talking on it, face oils..., but all the time) its worse in low brightness but very clear in high brightness too. )

thanks guys.

That doesn't sound normal. Is there a way you can get a picture and post?

Really sounds like something could be wrong.

Just tried taking a picture and it doesnt show because of the effects of the screen on the camera sensor. :/ if you can imagine a layer between the screen and the glass, it causes things to look poorly rendered but i know it's not the amole itself but the layer above it.

I would call Motorola and get a new one just in case.

Just got a new one myself and did not notice this issue. Mine looks crisp.

On the other hand, it does seem to have variable white balance depending on how you tilt it. Not sure if that's normal.
