New Nexus 4 purchase: Anyone get a shipping notification or tracking number?

what would make this whole thing right.....if my phone showed up today and google jacked up and did not charge me. I would feel fine "stealing" their phone.

Nexus Q 2.0

What's the definition of being in limbo (or is the definition in limbo)?

I thought it was not getting a backorder email and a shipping email

Limbo = no direct communication from Google since Nov 13.

that would be correct. Basically everyone who got a confirmation email on the 13th and nothing since then. Even if your date changed from the 13th - 17th - 19th, you are still in limbo as long as you have not gotten back order or shipping emails.

My updated time has also changed to the 19th, but this isn't the first time it has changed. It started the 13th, to the 14th, then the 15th, and now the 19th. I called customer support on Saturday and the guy I spoke to said I should receive my shipping email that night (Saturday), I didn't, but he also said I will get my phone on Tuesday (it could happen...).

Order Time: November 13, 2012 9:35:56 AM UTC-7 (MST)

Back order Email: No

Wallet Status: Pending
Play Status: Updated: November 19, 2012, Shipping estimate: November 15, 2012

I just got done with CSR and talked to the specialist, if he was. He said "I m sorry sir, you may not have got a backorder email but your order is in backorder"
Me: So what now. I m supposed to leave the country by next Tue.
CSR: You can cancel the order.
(might as well me to go eat s***)
Me: Not done.
CSR: Well, what can i say, we are out of phones. We just dont have phones to send anymore right now

FML.

This is what i recieved in the inbox after i had a talk with CSR, a day after they told me, limbo = Good (Monday Shipment). They also told me "They are out of phones. They just dont have phones anymore. New phone will be manfactured and shipped now." BTW this was someone senior to the random reps that answer the call the first time. He seemed hell bent upon to make me cancel my order, kinda. It really seems like they cant do anything about it. It was just wrong decision making.

First of all that is a crying shame if its true. Was Google so disappointed in the Nexus 4 they didn't expect it to sell? What is wrong with making a couple million phones? Google has the cash and their quarterly report is over two months away. They'd surely sell the inventory. I don't get why they want to micro manage everything. The experience suffers.

Yes, they could have manufactured and sent the left over to LG. And LG could sell it in the countries where playstore is still not available...

I would be fairly confident in that Google is receiving phones/inventory daily. You just don't launch and get another shipment in weeks later. Also, the CSRs are giving everyone different answers, so while you may want to chastise them for bad news and be thrilled to hear good news - wait until the 3-5 business days is up, which is tomorrow, and if nothing is there, then be ticked off.

I'm in the same boat as everyone - I'm not happy, but, you have to give them the 3-5 business days as they said when you ordered. Communication would be nice, but I'd rather have them shipping phones vs writing us emails.

Apparently, from what I've heard the date change just means that Google puts the hold charges back on your card, etc. Mine fell of yesterday so it makes sense... but I don;t see any new pending charges added.

That sounds right. I haven't seen any date changes in my Play account and the hold has been on my card the whole time.

So now I should wait for 3-5 business days before gettin pissed at google, when their reps are telling me its on backorder? I refuse to give Google the benefit of doubt in this launch, refuse it to my core. Pre order, no you cant, then make enough phones to meet demand. You are not a bloody small time manafacturer. You are a search giant. You will bear the brunt, from me, from all of us who were waiting for a new nexus. I dont care how you got it wrong, YOU GOT IT WRONG. Accepting it is the first step, fixing it comes next.

No tracking info so far, I'm back to hating Google. Hopefully when I wake up there will be new info...I doubt it though.

As an editor, I get irked every time I see "on it's way," when it should read "on its way." Google Play Support Team needs some spelling lessons. That is, after they ship my phone, which by the way, has not had a lick of updating since 08:34 EST on Nov. 13. No change in "pre-order" status, no estimated ship date, no backorder email, nada.

I'm not so sure this is the case. I ordered a Nexus 10 yesterday, and this morning (less than 24 hours later) the date on that order changed from the 18th to the 19th.

What I am saying is that I was told 3-5 business days when I clicked "submit." It has not yet been 3-5 business days. You got told by a rep it was on backorder - others are told it is shipping - others are told something else. All I am saying is wait the time that you agreed to by clicking "submit."

I am not happy - I am mad, but I am not up in arms because I still have until Tuesday per the ordering process.
