New Nexus 4 purchase: Anyone get a shipping notification or tracking number?

11:34.22 EST and I haven't even heard a whisper from Google...

I can understand delays in shipping and such given the demand but for a company that at it's core is about managing data I find the fact that they can't tell me what the status of my order is over 3 days later to be a bit concerning. I do not feel as secure about all they info they have of mine in their 'cloud' if they cannot even track an order from start to finish.

19 seconds before mine, same boat as you

I take back every bad thing I ever said about Google this phone is awesome, my friend has one and he filmed me using mine.....

I ordered 11:35:22 AM EST. The gist of my story is here http://forums.androidcentral.com/go...ification-tracking-number-25.html#post2331727 , nothing significant has changed since then.

That blows. Hopefully it's one of those deals were it's already shipped and they haven't updated it yet. I understand you frustrations. I ordered after both of you at 11:38AM EST and my order just got to the origin scan in KY. I don't expect it until next week. There are people who ordered after all of us and are getting deliveries today. Someone made a good specutlation as to what might be happening. They said that Google may have broke a bunch of inventory up and are shipping in sections instead of taking the whole list and working from the earliest to lastest orders. If I understood it correctly, I think that's what they meant. It's the only thing that make sense to me, they got overwhelmed and needed a faster way to work through the orders.

I guess, but it is also not hard to be like.....ok start shipping until you hit 11:35....stop, make sure we have inventory still, and up it by a minute. To ship random like this is horrible.

someone else put it really good. It is like being first in line and as you are walking out they take it out of your hands and give it to someone still waiting.

...it's nearly everyone who ordered early who got dookied on =/

I ordered at 8:37:05 PST / 11:37:05 EST.
I had the charges removed from my Chase account as well, but about two hours ago I received a shipping email with tracking number.

So, I'm expecting the charge to be reapplied later on today. And I'm expecting the phone Monday (Don't know what I'm going to do this weekend with this pent up anxiety but yeah...)

Just called google play and the rep said "its processing due to the high volume". Can't provide an estimate but say that if I didnt receive a backorder email then I'm not backordered. Stupid Google....

Hey Google, how about you credit my credit card and ship my Nexus 4 anyway.... like all the people who got the Nexus Q for nothing....

Getting more angry by the minute....

I'm absolutely fuming.

My co-worker just received a shipment notification. He ordered after I did. We both are shipping to the exact same location (our work). He's getting his before me.

How in the effing world is that even possible? Complete joke. Seriously.

Just in case you didn't think it was random, see my above story.

Me too... Who would have thought that the search giant couldn't handle an effing phone release...

What really, really pisses me off is the lack of communication on Google's part. It is so freaking unbelievable.

exactly, i understand they said 3-5 days so they're not actually late or anything. It just seems like with all the confusion there should be like an official here's wtf is going on from someone.

Still doesn't make sense to me. Even with high volume, first in, first out. Me, 8:32 PST, and others around that time should have been the first out.

I ordered at 11:35am EST and am still in limbo-land with no update since the 13th. I had to ship out my Gnex to the winning bidder of my eBay auction at lunchtime and my backup phone until I get the Nexus 4 is a Motorola Razr Flip (not the Droid Razr). Man this is pretty rough, I challenge anyone to try to last a few hours with a Razr, I couldn't even check for a gmail update on my N4 order!!! When I realized that I said to a friend (wait, we couldn't get our email until we actually got to a computer back when these phones were the bomb???)
