New Nexus 4 purchase: Anyone get a shipping notification or tracking number?

Exactly what I was thinking of. This provides support for my argument saying that people who see "Confirmed" are the ones who got the phone approximately before 11:40 EST. Of course we would need feedback from a lot more people to definitely solve this mystery.

Hopefully me too. I was about 45 seconds later than yours. Had to add to cart three times and cancel the payment window once but then everything went smoothly.

EDIT: Order time was 11:36:33 EST.

I was 11:35AM EST and mine still says "Pending" and expected shipment date of November 15th

Just to clarify, there are two statuses, one in Google Play:

and another in Google Wallet:

I'm hoping Google waives shipping charges or gives us Google Play store credit for this fiasco. $14 to ship a phone is pretty ridiculous. Every mobile retailer ships their devices free. :-$

Got off the phone with the PlayStore a little bit ago. The lady told me it take 1-2 days to charge your payment method and then 2 days for shipping. She said since I ordered my Nexus 4 on Tuesday, the latest my phone would be shipped is Thursday. Therefore Monday is the most likely expected arrival date, because UPS doesn't deliver on Saturdays.

Sucks I know but at least we got a phone on this go-round!

Same here.. I ordered mine at 11:33 EST AM and my google wallet shows as it approved my payment and play account shows estimated shipping Nov 15..

Not to sound like a jerk, but why is this a 'fiasco'? It is not like we all ordered it and then they charged us shipping. We agreed to it when we bought it. Same with the 3-5 day delivery window. I get people want it earlier, but how is this a fiasco?

Getting an order out within 2 days considering the volume they'r processing is hardly "getting their crap together", it's "doing their job pretty quickly".

wow, you set the bar awfully low huh? It's GOOGLE after all, you'd think they'd be competitive with order fulfillment. Programatically speaking, once they have my billing/shipping info, generating a tracking number is a matter of a few lines of code calling out to a UPS web service. That should NOT take 2 days, ever, PERIOD. At that point, it's the warehouse's responsibility to box the thing and throw a label on it, hand to UPS. That process by itself takes much longer than getting a tracking number together, but all of this should be easily completed within 24 hours over business days.

I'd love to have mine by Friday. But seeing as that probably won't happen, as long as I get it before I leave for Thanksgiving next Wednesday, I'll be happy. I am a little annoyed by the fact that I'm paying $14 for shipping when the processing time is 2 days though. Maybe I've just been spoiled by Amazon.

I just received an email from a Google Play Support rep following up my question about my order and not getting a confirmation email and was told my order is confirmed and they plan to ship it out tomorrow 11/15.

Its not a fiasco. Its the inability to please people in every way they wanna be pleased. Google did nothing wrong thus far except make a product that apparently everyone wants.

Everyone is pissed they don't get quick updates so they fix by selling it themselves with ZERO carrier interferences, but then people are pissed no LTE.
The phone is too expensive, they fix that by selling it themselves and are most likely breaking even...Everyone is pissed that the server couldn't handle it.
They make it pretty like the iPhone 5. The complaint is the glass is gonna scratch.

The engineers are gonna kill themselves.

Only a matter of time before some lawyer type starts threatening to sue google if he doesn't receive his phone by Friday at 9am.

P.S. And by the way Google if you don't have my phone at my house before 9am on FRIDAY then........

Seems like the only people that will get it in 3 days are those that happen to live in the same city as the warehouse, receiving next day treatment. An arrival time of 4-5 business days seems to be more accurate based on circumstantial evidence (ie: no reports of shipments yet today)

No, I live less than 2 miles from the shipping point located at the UPS Worldport facility at the Louisville airport. I still do not have a shipping confirmation and my order is still showiing as pending. I think they are processing the orders in the order they were received into the system as it appears those who did not experience issues and got orders in early after the site opened are getting the confirmations first.

I got my order in at 8:32 Calif. time and mine still shows a ship date of 11/15

Order Date: November 13, 2012 8:32:47 AM

i just got an email saying mine has shipped. i'm in London UK and believe these are shipping out of Dublin so should get it by Friday, possible as early as Thursday?

i can't tell from the TNT tracking info i was set as the number i enter pulls up some other item that says it was delivered back in October. anyone know what that is about?
