Just got off the phone with a CSR. I've been in limbo as well. Ordered around 10:30am on the 13th. CSR told me I would definitely be getting a shipping e-mail tonight, phone is not back ordered for me, and its just taking forever because of all the orders that were placed. We shall see ::sigh::
New Nexus 4 purchase: Anyone get a shipping notification or tracking number?

I had to satisfy my new gadget craving so I went and picked up a Lumia 920 today. Of course this means that my Nexus 4 will probably arrive promptly on Monday. Heh.
How is it?
It's got less ram and a slower cpu but I heard it's pretty solid. The screen is a tad higher ppi too, but I don't think it's high enough to notice a difference between it and the N4.
For everyone who hasn't received a backorder email. If you are still in limbo, you will be receiving a tracking number on Monday morning or afternoon at the latest. Your Nexus 4 will be arriving on Wednesday or Friday of next week due to Thanksgiving on Thursday. I just spoke with CSR Sean. He was very confident on this time frame so I think the CSRs have finally been given correct information. If a CSR told you in the past that your order was backordered, he was incorrect. Sean told me that the email had to come from the system, NOT a CSR copy/pasting into a follow-up after a phone call. This is good news guys, could have been worse.
hahah wow called them and said i should get a shipping email tonight or monday.. like they have been telling me everyday.. then i get an email saying this..

Don't get your hopes up. Shipping department does not work on weekends. You won't see an email until Monday.
I talked with Sean too. He was a pretty cool guy. He told me the exact same thing, and i'm hoping he was right.

I'm still praying for Monday shipping e-mail. I can't wait to just be over this whole stupid fiasco and never have to deal with it again. I just want to enjoy my new phone, something I hope I can still do after this b.s.
Thank you for your input, I really appreciate all the members trying to help each other out. Although, this didn't work for me. Nothing showed upGo to the UPS website and click track by reference. Type Google in reference box, input your zip code and country and then track. I was one of those with no tracking info and no backordered e-mail until I tried this and there it is, my phone in transit for Tuesday delivery. Hope this helps

I think the excuse that the "site crashed and couldn't handle it" is GARBAGE. GOOGLE SHOULD HAVE THE BEST SERVERS SINCE ITS FRIGGING GOOOOOGGGGLLLEEE. how many searches do they see a day?!?! What about all those server farms eh?

Oh, I agree, definitely NOT an excuse. Google practically IS the internet, heck even my friend's dad says "I'm going on the Google" lol.

Ordered 8:53:18 PST in Toronto....Received confirmation email 30 mins later...no shipping or back order email....Google wallet pending and Google play stated Shipping estimate Sep 15 UNTIL NOW......Received Shipping email just now...shipping from KY 11/16....will be delivered here by 11/21..... Google wallet now completed and Google play changed order to 11/17 and shipped....Guys...hang in there !!!

This just illustrates how Google isn't processing orders correcty, drives me nuts.
