New Nexus 4 purchase: Anyone get a shipping notification or tracking number?

For what its worth I (respectfully) chewed out a CSR. She said none of the limbo orders that haven't shipped will be paying for shipping. I hope she's telling the truth.

Do they not understand that this is small consolation?

I don't give a **** about the $20 shipping charge; I just want my damn phones!

I feel you man. The thing that is most upsetting for me is that this phone is a gift for my girlfriend and I have to keep postponing giving it to her. I just think we are owed some compensation for this hell ride.

imagine if they offered over night shipping and we all paid for that. "but sir, it did ship overnight....just took 5 days to process"

Just for the heck of it called the CSR again this morning to find out about the date changes to 17th and 19th, and this is what i heard from John, If the order date is still 13th, you are on the safest train, your shipping labels are ready with the old date and hence they did not update your date on wallet or playstore... your order will ship today for sure, and for those whose order is changed to 19th, will ship after 3 day processing or maybe placed on backorder until the stock arrives. This is what that guy had to say, i am not sure if he is right... but it definitely screws us up ....

*EDIT* - Can someone else call and find out the same? This guy seemed to be very confident in his reply.

My order date still says 13th, and my shipping estimate still says 15th, so I don't think he's right. I also got a back order e-mail.

Yes, you would be in a very bad postition... I am also in the same position... my relatives are here in US from India and they would be leaving the 25th, i need to get it before they leave and ship it to them in california... really disgusting on google's part to not communicate anything about nexus 4... I pray to God that they shouldnt sell even a single nexus 5 online on 1st day when they release... atleast then they will realize that they are nothing without their customers.... to hell with them...

I have ordered on tuesday, got confirmation, tracking number and what not on thursday, and ever since then, the package's status has been "out for delivery". Anyone encountered such thing, or know when can I expect my phone to arrive? (UK TNT)

T-mobile sells mobiles on a day-to day basis for a living... so they have a very good logistics team to handle the orders, unlike google who would invest money in software teams and not logistics... they don't ship mobiles every day... but its only the bad communication that irritates people...

Are you going to use an ATT sim or tmobile? ... can you post some speedtests...

Google has been shipping Nexus devices for past three years. Also at every Nexus launch for past three years many customers have faced the same problems. One would hope that the fourth time they would get it right. But Google doesn't care about customers otherwise they would have improved the system by now.

You should be able to call the shipping carrier and they might provide you with accurate information.

I'm not sure what's worse. The fact that the CSRs are still blatantly lying to customers or that there are still people here that believe them.

This is playing out exactly as I predicted last week. They'll stall through Wednesday, then use the holiday as an excuse for another week. You won't see your phones for at least another week.

I'm one of the 'Complete' bunch. I'm going to call this morning and ask for a case number, a badge number, a direct line and timetable for resolution. I'll probably get none, but I'm going to try. If that doesn't work then it's off to call the corporate HQ and Larry Page's office. I'll call 12x a day if I have to.

I still don't understand the excuse for not taking preorders. Also, when you are one of the largest companies in the WORLD it gets old hearing "we didn't expect sales to be so high". Get it in your head that people want your product and satisfy them!

Not sure if anyone else has had any luck tracking by reference. The only thing I was able to get a result from was by using my first name in the reference field. Google, my last name, nexus, address all came up with nada. When using my first name yesterday, I got one result from SC. Wasn't too excited because the weight was .2 lbs. I then got a UPS My choice notification this morning saying I had a package being delivered tomorrow. I was so excited!...until I saw that it was from Newark, which was for my Raspberry Pi - doh! Turns out, it was the same package and the shipping by reference had worked. But when I tried again using Newark(the shipping company) as the reference, I got no results. Reason I'm saying all this is there appears to be no rhyme or reason to searching by reference. Some packages will show up from the company name, some by first name and some with multiple options. I've tested this with 5 packages I've received in the past week and only 3 were able to show results.

I really think Google Play should be doing Hangouts where people can vent in front of the Board of Directors. I'm not kidding. Google needs to see that they have fans that they've disappointed.

I did not know they had same issues every year... lol.. how many light years did they take to ship the product? Is it in milky way or some other galaxy?

16/11/2012 07:40 SLOUGH Out for delivery
16/11/2012 03:07 SLOUGH At delivery depot

I'm this close to going to pickup a lumia 920 and forgetting about the entire nexus thing....

I posted last night that my Nexus 7 (that I ordered back in August) changed from Nov. 17th instead of my Nexus 4 well now the damn thing says Nov. 19th I swear if these idiots send me a nexus 7 im gonna be one pissed SOB. After going through something similar to this w/ the N7 and having to ship it back twice b/c of defects I do not want another tablet when I clearly ordered a phone.

This morning the pending charge disappeared from my credit card.

My order on Google Play still shows the order date as November 13 and the estimate ship date still says November 15. No change on Google Wallet either.

My order was placed at 11:44:35 for one 16GB N4.
