My phone just downloaded a 16 MB update file. I can't seem to find anything about it online, and I already did the stagefright patch earlier).

Looks like it updated fine, waiting on it to optimize the apps before I can see what version I'm on.

Google is pushing monthly security updates now for the Nexus line.
Version number will probably not change but the build number will.

I just got the notification for an update on my Nexus 5 earlier today. Any updated information on what it does? And, more importantly, is it safe? Meaning, will it possibly have any negative effects or slow down the functionality of the phone?

Basically, are there any pros or cons to downloading and installing this update? Should those of us who get it download and install it now? Or wait and see what some of the smarter folks say about this update?

And always, helpful replies will be genuinely appreciated!

Funny enough, since that last patch my Exchange sync is broken. Calender and contacts are not synced anymore (mail is working fine).
My Nexus is very warm all the time and the battery lasts no longer than 6 hours with Exchange Services being the culprit.
I am using Mobile Iron though. Maybe there's a reason for the Exchange problem here.

I have already tried everything but reset it to factory settings. Cache partition has been formatted as well.
Dunno what more to do.
Any clues?
