Seriously though, anybody but Samsung.

Agreed. I'm tired of Samsung's cheap, plastic feeling phones. I'd want ANYONE other than Samsung to make the new Nexus.

No more SAMOLED screens for me either. Having used an iPhone 5 and HTC One X for substantial periods of time, I find them to be much better screens.

The S3 is the last Samsung phone I'm buying, unless the new Nexus phone is a Samsung only device, then I'll be stuck with Samsung again.

this whole idea that samsung phones have "cheap" build quality is the biggest myth in mobile communities

people just hear someone else say it and parrot it til other people blindly start saying it as well

What I want from Google is this...

Only one or two Nexus MAX. I don't want Samsung this time around.

Sony and HTC.

HTC needs to look like the ONE X with on screen buttons and no branding in the front. One X because that is by the prettiest phone. So basically the front of the phone just like the Gnex and the rest just like the One X.

Sony needs to make it look just like the Xperia TX but with the screen curving like the Gnex.

I don't want to hear about an Apple type of upgrade like the rumored Galaxy Nexus 2 crap. Motorola makes some ugly ass phones, crap screens and the worst camera, no thank you to Motorola.

AND GOOGLE, MARKET THE OUT OF IT!!! ALSO NO VERIZON!

Your assumption being that people who say such things (like myself) have never owned a "good" Samsung phone. I've owned the Focus and the Galaxy Nexus and they both feel cheap and plasticky. That said, they can take a beating and don't show much wear. But, all considered, I would trade that for a solid, metal/ceramic unibody design. That's why I prefer HTC phones in almost any circumstance (I've owned the OG Evo, Evo 3D, Nexus One, and Radar.)

Cough cough but a true world phone where if I want to use att sprint vzw etc if apple iPhone5 can do it Google should be able to. 5inch htcX LCD screen Intel dual/quad 2.5ghz chip 2gb with 64gb 3500 MHz battery. And os jelly bean 4.2.
