NEW (Official) EVO Froyo OTA update thread

Download was smooth runs fast...... but my browser will not work now! I have internet and network the browser just will not work!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm an idiot...reboot asks you to install...press discard cancels OTA and discards downloaded file.
UI is faster, browser is faster, flash is great, apps to sd cleared up about 30 meg, and flashlight is dope. Ahh! It's the little things that make me happy!
Mine has been calling it my mistress for the last few weeks. Btw are you seeing any 4G service in Brooklyn. I'm near Ocean Parkway and I suddenly had bars of service appear today and its been consistent all day.
Hey guys ..How do I move my apps to the SD card..So far the "move to SD" selection is greyed out?
After further inspection, I can confidently say that the update installed perfectly, everything functions great. Overall performance seems much faster and the flash is awesome (just had to check out family guy on fox and played fine).
One thing that was mentioned earlier in the thread but is worth repeating, Google talk settings will go back to default and to save battery, I needed to open the app and uncheck the auto sign in and sign out of the app. Also, I noticed that the stocks account has also reappeared and is set to auto refresh every 4 hours. Hope the battery life does not suffer with this update.

Have you noticed any 4G areas in the Denver area? I'm north of Denver in Westminster and I've noticed I get 4G in a few areas during my commute: 128th and Wadsworth, Dillon and Wadsworth (287).

Love everything, especially the speed. Weatherbug Elite used to struggle, especially with maps... now it's working like it should. Manage Applications is instant. Scrolling seems faster and smoother. The browser is so good now that I uninstalled Dolphin HD.
Also...
"Chrome to Phone" is a miracle (I'm using the Firefox add on).
Voice dialing from my Bluetooth Headset is amazing... wish I could also choose where I want to navigate, but it only seems to work for calls. Not the same as holding the search button on the bottom of the phone, darn it. It doesn't seem to ask you which number or if it's guessing correctly, though, before dialing... it just dials. That's dangerous.
Can't wait to try the camera in the morning. Looks good so far, and kinda sorry I bought Vignette last week.

Swype is in Beta... You have to go to their website and sign up for it and wait for them to "Invite" you to the beta (which is currently closed) or you can search around and find a file..... Took me 3 months to officially get the beta...
Vignette is still better. I've taken a bunch of comparison pics. It's gotten better, but the colors still come out richer with Vignette
What I found was even after uninstall/reinstall, rebooting the phone would "break" skype again.
Thankfully, only temporarily... after a reboot, long press on a text field, select the default keyboard, then long press on the text field (again) and select swype. Voila! You should be able to swype to your heart's content.... until you reboot, when you'll need the do the steps noted above again.

If you had Swype before the update, just uninstall Swype and the Installer. Then look for your invite email and go to the link in the email on your phone. Type in your email address and the password you set up, then it will reinstall with a version that works in 2.2.
