How excellent is it that there's an update for an end-of-live device?!? Got to love the Evo! Here's the G&E link for the update info:

Don't forget, if you are rooted, don't update with the OTA, wait for a custom ROM and install it.

I talked to CSR and all they could tell me was it's coming out in patches and not territorial according to their information. Nothing in PA.

I checked over on XDA today (5/11) and didn't see any. I think ROM development is shifting to the E4GLTE...hopefully a good one will come out that incorporates this update though. I'm not ready to upgrade my E4G just yet.

Has anyone received this update yet? I have yet to see anyone on any EVO 4g forum receive this.

Once this is released, then the EVO 4g devs can put it in the roms.

Only thing I have received is PRL update and no manual checks has not produced and results either.

No updates in Indy yet... I don't think it's phone specific though. My mom has a Samsung Epic 4g and described an update she got today identical to the one we are supposed to get (battery and wi-fi optimizer) , she is in orlando.

I had the notifications alert for it, but have not downloaded it. Not sure if I want any changes since the old girl is working pretty well of late. At least, until Sprint pulls the trigger on official EVO LTE launch day...like, say, later today?
