New OTA impact thread - please report in

Minor issue, but it seems the sound for an incoming SMS message has changed. Where do you setup your custom sound profiles again? :)

I'm loving the update good buy reboots
The pdf on Droid life states that there was going to be tabbed app drawer and desktop clock app I can't find either other then that great update.

A little too early to say goodbye reboots, but time will tell.

Just delete the ones not on the Sim card...no more doubles.

That works to get rid of doubles. My problem is I had deleted them a long time ago (I never use them), so I went from them being gone completely to coming back, with no way (that I see so far) to delete or hide them. I wish I wasn't forced to have them at the top of my contacts list.

So far so good here, GPS definitely seems to work better. Especially since my mom's Thunderbolt has not been updated and comparing them side by side in the same place, there has been a big difference.

The phone is definitely a lot faster. Everything feels so much smoother, but I was really hoping for that tabbed app drawer. Well, we'll see it in the next update, whenever that happens.

I have the update and so far it is quite fast. I can't seem to find the desktop dock app that was supposedly installed with the update.

My phone seems to be showing the sync icon very often now and it stays up there for minutes at a time. I don't have anything that syncs that often and it wasn't doing this before the update.

Update really feels fabulous to me. SMS sendouts are great, GPS is wicked fast and accurate ... and hot damn if it ain't true: the Thunderbolt cloud bootup sequence is SO MUCH better! So less ridiculous now! My GOD what were they thinking originally? ;-)

Oh, you know what I hate though? The new 3G logo. Silly!

But I am one happy camper so far. Fingers crossed on the reboot issue!

The update KILLED my leaked version of skype with video. i tried unstalling and re installing but when i try to launch app it says "sorry, your phone is not compatible with this version of skype". This is terrible for me, i use skype all the time, i wish i had not done the update. any one have any ideas how we can get skype with video back?:'(

This shouldnt surprise anyone on the forums. It was discussed quite a bit after the initial MR2 update was leaked in early June.

I'd hate my 3G logo if I could freaking get it. It shows up once, I switch to WiFi and now my radio signal apparently doesn't exist anymore when I turn WiFi off. Tried everything and I get zero signal. No LTE, no 3G, no 1X.

Another fantastic update from the morons at Big Red and HTC.

That sucks, you could try powering off the phone then turn it back on, see if that helps.

NOT impressed. Had LTE at home before. Never dropped. Now staying on 3G. I primarily use wifi at home but if my cable ever dropped I was counting on LTE to be able to maintain a fast network connection for work if needed. This sux! Maybe it's because everybody in TX is updating? LOL, I doubt it.

GPS lock in 4 seconds. Used to take 5, Big whoop. Maps accurate to find me within 8 meters, no change from before. Wifi hotspot dead. I guess since it didn't brick the phone I should count myself lucky.

I never had any reboot or shutdown issues. Maybe mine will start doing that now. <sigh>

And it did. Did it right after I complained so of course it would fix the problems.

Anyways, I can say the GPS is pretty much instant for me, a far difference from recent weeks and months. Can't speak to much else yet but I imagine the reboots are pretty much fixed as well.

Now bring us Gingerbread!

I lost 4G to at first but I did a restart and it came back.

^^^^I did one restart right after I noticed the change to 3G. Didn't help. I'll try it again.

On a positive note. All the Apps in my Folders show the correct Icons after bootup now instead the the Generic Android ones.

Still can't install new HTC Widgets. Shame...I did like my Fake Call and Quick Record widgets.
