No. This is NOT a factory data reset.

What he is describing is the equivalent of the old *228 option 1 programing. With LTE/GSM those updates are pushed to the phone automatically, what Mortiel describes is a way to force the network to push the programming to the phone.

When I send a text (Handcent or stock) or email (gmail app) from my phone, it takes upwards of five to ten minutes for the party to receive them, if at all. I receive texts and emails with no delay. What is that?

The update fixed everything for me. I was rooted with a stock rom. I didn't wipe, didn't take the OTA, download the deoxed rom from xda. Works perfectly. Finally my gps locks quickly, no reboots for close to 20 hours since I installed. I got the tbolt on launch day and had terrible slow gps, up to 5 minutes for lock and probably more than 4 reboots a day, it was worse when using the navigation. This update definitely seems to have fixed both!

I've been trying since Friday at 8PM and have never been able to connect. Seen reports that people are having success if they switch to CDMA only to connect. I tried that also to no avail. Ridiculous....

22.5 hrs. out of the stock battery, thats about 10hrs. more than normal. It was at 24% when I put it back on the charger. So my battery life has much improved. The screen brightness was at Auto brightness, GPS ON AND RUNNING. The new OTA has been great so far no complaints yet.

I had originally posted that I didn't see much difference, but couldn't get 4G.. Well I removed the Phone Info app and it came back. Been much more reliable and battery lasting longer since the update. Am happy with it so far.

after the update on a 1 day old clnr phone, my battery life was really crappy even with WiFi and mobile data turned off. After a factory reset, it is now better than before the update as others have been reporting.

I just shut off my WiFi and sync just fine over 3g. Strange, everything else was working fine on WiFi.

Took a bit to get it to download on Saturday afternoon. Few failed attempts and then when it actually started it completed, but took many 40 minutes.

Initially, the phone sucked. Was all over the place with 1x-LTE, and even jumping to wifi for no reason. A battery pull solved all that.

Too early to tell on reboots, but so far so good.
Too early to tell on battery - I am playing on the phone a lot due to this update to test, etc, so anything I would claim to see so far would not be valid.

MUCH better GPS.
Overall performance seems unchanged.
Verizon widget has worked once - all other times it has just sat there.

No reboots here. My gps locks in less than 5 seconds before it took about 3 minutes

Yeah. Obviously they just made use of the total space allocated. With the 4G/LTE the "LTE" portion takes up the space of almost another character on the end. Looks like they widened the 3G display to use this otherwise wasted space. IDM (It don't matter ).

Click on the widget and log into your account.
