New phone VS Nexus 7

The way look at it is your going to use the n7 for only internet.. and the HTC onev can do all in one device. There's no need to carry two devices.. the one v feels so nice in the hand ahhhh xD

The only thing an android phone can do that the N7 can't is make calls. If you get an N7 that's all you'll be using your phone for.

True but no one wants to carry a tablet everywhere you go, there's nothing you can't do on the one v that the nexus 7 can. The one v has better build quality, slimmer and its just a great phone. Your going to have to get a new phone sooner or later

That may be all you'll use YOUR phone for, but that isn't the case for everybody (myself included.)

I have a Galaxy S3 and an HTC One X. And I'm happy to carry my N7 everywhere. 7 inches is the perfect size. I't so small you don't even notice it. The One V is tiny and under powered.

That has nothing to do with it, I know what my usage scenario would be with a tablet, and it would never negate the need for a smartphone as well.

Cool. What would you do on a smartphone that you wouldn't do on a 7 inch tablet, other than phone calls?

You say the One V is tiny and under powered, but you're posting in the forum of a phone that pales in comparison to the One V... so what you are saying will go unheard.

There's no need for a tablet if you have a onev. None at all.. the screen isnt small at all its even bigger than the iphone... The only thing the n7 is that used for is books movies and internet. And the one v is so slick and pocket sized .. the tablet may be smaller but is still huge compared to even a note.

It's basically like carrying a paperback book that's as slim as a new cell phone. There is nothing the One V can do that the N7 can't do better. I never really thought I'd use the N7 when I bought it, I just wanted a new gadget. I always did everything on my phones. Now my S3 and One X are used only for tethering data and phone calls. I cannot stress strongly enough how absolutely painful it is to use them after having the N7. This thing is so amazing it just blows my mind. I've had iPads and other 10 inch android tabs but they were all too bulky. This is the perfect size for a mobile device and it's so powerful and fast it makes phones look downright slow.

Saying that there's nobody need for a tablet if they have a low-end android phone is just plain ridiculous.

I agree with this post. I don't have a tablet (just an Optimus V) but I can see myself using a tablet SOOO much because all I do with my phone is read news, look at weather, scan the forums, and Google all my programming questions... oh yeah... and gtalk, and the occasional phone call or text. All those things I can see being way more pleasurable on a tablet. I already find it painful to read anything on this screen... low resolution and small screen, news articles show very little text on the screen.

I agree with you somewhat. Just saying, personally, a tablet would never fully replace a smartphone for me. I wouldnt be toting my n7 with me everywhere I go.
