When the screen times out, the only time the clock Screensaver of the clock is when the phone is charging. If it's just sitting on the desk or your hand, I have to wake it up by hitting the volume button.

While the ambient display uses minimal power, screensavers are much more hungry. That's why they can only be enabled "While charging" (note: "While docked" refers to a charging dock)

OK thanks. That explains why. I just want to swipe to restore the screen. It would be easier but I'll live with it. Thanks again.
