Ok so saw this yesterday and was curious about this new Rewards Program coming out. I'm hoping this will apply to customers but I've been reading that this might be for Sprint employees and 3rd party sellers only. Has anybody heard any details or care to speculate?
Sprint Playbook shows us a new device, policy changes, new rewards program, gives AT&T HTC Holiday a September release | Android Central
The Sprint Rewards Me program is directed towards Sprint/Indirect Employee's Only. It's been ongoing for years. This is not a customer loyalty program in any way shape or form.
When they say the word "YOU" in the Playbook (which is a communication directed towards sprint indirect employees) they are talking about the employee's.
The Playbook always says "Customer" when information is pertaining to the public.
Up until the release of this Sprint Rewards Me Plus, there has NEVER been a Sprint Indirect Sales Channel phone purchase program. Indirect employee's have always had to purchase their phone's @ cost (more than 2yr public pricing) or through other means (online, eBay, Craigslist, etc) OR if before having the 3rd party employee plan offered to them, they initiate a brand new sprint account, and have it converted afterwards. Existing Indirect Employee accounts, are not eligible for any promotional pricing, via any legit sales channel.
Don't confuse what I'm saying with Corporate Employee's (they have benefited from discounts/free phones for years) Only apply to Indirect Store Employee's.
So, good for them, finally they can get deals on a phone, and stay up to date for their customers. You can't sell a phone you have no experience using.
