Just got an update of the browser and it's faster, more intuitive and better looking than before.

It was my choice before and it certainly is now.

Highly recommended.

I can't see any difference in this 5.0 from the 4.0 that landed with the Nougat Beta.

Still though, 'Open in Background' was sorely needed.

I agree it does feel faster.

The layout is more defined / clearer.

I like the option to fast scroll to the top of the page now with one touch.

I wondered why it looked different. I know it sounds trivial but I don't look the font and icons for the home, bookmarks, and tabs on the bottom of the screen.

I do like that you can add the "Scan QR Code" to the side list and the "Extensions" are now listed.

Does anyone have an issue where sometimes when you tap the address bar and start typing a new search/address, it doesn't completely clear what was there before? Doesn't happen every time but maybe 90% of the time.

This has happened on the last couple of nougat beta versions and I don't know if it's a nougat fault or a problem with the app itself which is seems people on MM have been updated to

I've noticed this too. Frustrating tbh so made me start using chrome instead. I'm sure we could tap to highlight and start typing before but now it doesn't delete the text so I add to it and then have to do it again

For some reason it seems to be the keyboard I use that causes that. When I use Gboard it doesn't clear the whole address bar but if I use Chrooma it does. Not sure about SwiftKey etc, but it's odd.

Where is this update? In the Google play store it says the last update was in April and current version is 4.0.10-53.
I don't even see this app in the Samsung store...

Just search for the app in the Galaxy store

This seems to be ok on my phone now since the Beta 5 update using any keyboard. It still won't autofill from Lastpass though.

I'm having the same issue, super annoying! I am using Gboard. Might have to go back to chrome if this keeps occuring.

That stopped happening for me the other day after a Gboard update. I definitely think it was tat as it never happened when I was using Chrooma Keyboard. I even reinstalled it to check and it was just a thing that happened wen using Gboard.

Mine is still doing it with Gboard. My last update was December 15th
