After the Nov update on Pixel 2 XL what are your thoughts on the Saturation Settings.
I have found that the Boosted works best for me. I like the Saturated setting except I think it makes white backgrounds look to red.
I like saturated. I know natural and boosted is what Google had for the phone pre update but to me it seems saturated brought the screen to life. I'm happy that Google is now giving the choice to it's consumers.
I have not gotten mine yet. What's up with that? I keep checking every so often but no update yet. I am too lazy to flash it.
Are you enrolled in the beta program? If so, that is the reason.
I'm one of the unlucky ones who still doesn't have it. Hopefully I get it soon! Some not part of the beta / developer preview are still awaiting it as well. It's not pushed out to all devices at the same time and, contrary to Google's 'fixing' the CHECK FOR UPDATE so you could manually pull it down if it hadn't been pushed to yours yet, you may just need to wait for it. I believe I'd read devices should see it within 1 week.
i see boosted as pretty similar to natural, like barely much difference, maybe it was the old vivid???
and saturated as more samsung like
funny on saturated mode, I get little to no blue shift when i tilt to look for it
I tried looking at some of my recent photos in all 3 modes, after which I selected "natural" as my default, since that was closest to the reality at the time when I took them. The "saturated" mode was unbearable to me. But each to their own, so it's good to have choices.
(Regular Pixel 2, rather than 2 XL).
Isn't the point of getting a Pixel is that you should be getting timely updates? Are they still testing out the November update such that they aren't sure that everyone should have it yet? Is anyone having problems with their phone after the November update?
