New SD Card Installed?

Just purchased a new 32 gb micro SD and attempted to install in the proper lication. The card pushes all the way in but wont seem to catch. Is the card supposed to stick all the way in?

My folder shows an sdcard0 with folders but I don't think that is my new card. Any thoughts?

It will say extsdcard for the sd card. The other is the internal hard drive. Not to sound facetious, but is the contact part facing down?

It was facing down. Since my post I opened the case up, removed the card and reinserted. The card connected this time.
