I hope this is all legit and we can just get the phone already lol. The 4.5 in screen sounds good to me, netflix will look amazing.

Those aren't accurate. They're pegging the screen at 960x640, but Motorola uses qHD screens now that have a full 100 less pixels horizontally.

Coming from a droid x I'm loving the screen size if its another 4.3 tha'ts great if its 4.5 ill still buy it. The size is not a deal breaker for me at all. If Motorola really wants to make money off this device they need to unlock the boot loader and let the Dev community have at it.

Actually nobody knows yet what kind of screen will be on the Bionic, so this could be accurate

sorry, but this is fake. the 4-5inch screen has already been disproven and these pics are all old.

When was this disproven? I hope your not referring to the pic of the phone next to the Defy. No way anyone can tell if a screen is or is not .2 inches bigger by that picture alone.

I agree, It's never been officially disproven on the screen size, just speculated. And i'm okay with any screen size. 4.3 at 540x960 or 4.5 at 640x960, that's all cool. I still hope it has the 4460 than the 4430. like many articles before that I've read, Motorola needs to make a splash. Their big guns flopped earlier this year, and their company's quality is being called into question. I hope they know this and made this delay absolutely worth it.

Highly doubt that screen Res is accurate. All Motorola Android phones have been in the HDTV 16:9 aspect ratio since the OG Droid. Can't see them changing that now. And, to be accurately labeled qHD it has to be exactly 960x540, which provides 1/4 the pixels of full 1920x1080 HDTV spec.

Nice catch. I thought it was also a little odd that the dimensions were backwards. Or is this something they do in China? Either way, can't wait for a speedy 4G phone.. come on Motorola!

seems like weird specs, I do not trust them. Also noticed the radio said:

Mobile Band: CDMA (Telecom) 1X 800MHz , CDMA (Telecom) 1X 800/1900MHz
Phone System: CDMA , CDMA EV-DO

No LTE now?

Or I am just a little bummed it is the 4430, but o well we will see if it rings true or not.

Could be that the "640x960" was somebody simply fat-fingering the 540x960 size......and of course flipping it from the way we're used to seeing it (960x540).......of course they do read right to left in China anyway, so since that was where this all originated from...... I still don't really think they're legit for the US version of the Bionic, based on lacking the LTE radio info... Just my 2 cents. :)

It could happen. Its like ATT and their '4g' network. Not quite 4g, but they can call it what they want. Also, before 1080p, the 720p was/is hd. Maybe moto sees qHD as at least 960x540 pixels or above. It may not be true qHD but 'surpasses' it. And id like a show of hands of people who do not like it when their expectations are surpassed.

That would be nice if they did pack some more pixels into the screen. Either way I am going to get this phone but I wont complain if they do a little extra.

No LTE makes me wonder if this is accurate. 4430 does not make me happy, but whatever, I'll live with it if true.

4.5" display also makes me wonder, as I've heard the 4.3" reports more common as the testing phase hit.

More pixels is not necessarily a good thing if it gets you into a highly non-standard aspect ratio. 960:540 is 16:9 (a ratio of 1.78). 960:640 puts you at a 1.5 ratio. Your old 4:3 TV has a width-to-height ratio of 1.33. This hypothetical Bionic would have an aspect ratio slightly closer to an old box TV than your widescreen TV. You've just guaranteed Angry Birds, Netflix, and tons of other apps are going to look funky on your Bionic if you go that far off standard.

That does NOT surpass my expectations. If you think people are complaining about Pentile. Just wait until they tried to use this monstrosity!

The spec is wrong or a typo.

It could be accurate, just a major typo that really should have been caught.

Sorry, there are so many threads, this looked like the most relevent one. I saw this on the main page of the Bionic forums,

Droid Bionic Forum
