New, Stock Droid X randomly reboots

I know, I was so annoyed. I was thinking about it later.. I know it's his/her job but really, don't belittle the customer. She was still going on about it after she placed the order for my new refurb. Do you think they will mind the small scratch on the screen? :/ I still say the refurb is cheap especially since I didn't do anything *different* than I did with my old X.

I've actually never reformatted mine! Thank you for that advice :) I will do that.

Thank you! I don't actually have that checked on any of mine but it does make me angry when I press "Updates Available" and Kindle or Skype tries to start updating for fun. Unless that means those ARE checked even though I don't have either of them...

Oh, yes you do have these. They are known as Bloatware ... apps pre-installed by Vz. You can't delete them unless you root (& I know nothing about that). But they ARE there and will be among the updates from Market.

Sorry, yes, I meant I have them but I don't have them? I have never updated them but it always tries to sneak them in, usually when I wake up and the market is telling me there are updates available.... :-!

it's the sd card

I was having problems with mine rebooting several times a day. I moved all apps that were installed on the SD card to the phone's internal memory and it stopped. I reinstalled Angry Birds a couple of times and it would start teets footing itself again. Why? Because all of the Angry Birds games install to the SD card by default. Get an app call App2sd. It allspice allows you to install apps to internal memory if the app is installed on the SD card. Hope this helps ~ it helped me out.
