Hi all! Just picked up the Tab 4 10.1 from Gamestop... Liking it so far. Still charging it but already turned it on and set up pretty much everything. That included Pulse, Kindle, nook, Tapatalk and of course I setup my google account, email, calendar etc...

I wanted a large screen tablet by Samsung to go with my new Note 3 but didn't want to pay too much so I think I made the right choice. Traded in some games so I got it cheap. I also have the N7 but wanted to try something a little bigger since my Note 3 is almost as large as the N7. LOL!

So, from Tab 4 10.1 user's perspective, are you all liking your tablets? Any advice on hidden features, apps that work well with it, battery optimization or anything else? Other than that, just wanted to introduce myself here and glad to be joining this forum for the Tab 4 10.1!

:)

Welcome to Android Central, and congratulations on your purchase! Just curious--did Gamestop preload any good games on the tablet?

Thanks, im really liking this thing so far!

And no. Just Play Games app from google... I don't really plan to play many games on it but it would have been cool if they had. I play mostly on my XBOX 360 and my Shield portable. Just a casual gamer...

Oh, that's a bummer. I bought an Asus Transformer TF300 from them a while ago, and it came preloaded with Max Payne, Shadowgun, Sonic, and a few other decent games.

I love Shadowgun... one of my all time favorites! And Sonic 2 came with my shield. I recently bought Half Life 2 for the Shield but still haven't gotten around to playing it yet. How do you like the TF300? Asus makes good tablets! That I know.

It was good for a while, but then started to really slow down after about a year. I ultimately traded it in.

I hear that Android Tablets slowed down after awhile before Google introduced FSTRIM...

Yeah, it was pretty frustrating. The Transformer was such a nice concept--I had the keyboard dock as well. It also didn't have a way to get to the Recovery Menu to clear the cache partition, to see if that would help. I'm not a rooter, so I didn't want to try a custom ROM. I ended up preferring my Nexus 7, and then using my Acer C720 for the kind of portable computing that I was hoping the Transformer could do.
