New themes.

How do I get new themes on my Honor 8? I wanna try out some new ones, bored with what came on it. I love EMUI, don't want an app drawer, just new themes.

Try these ones shown on the XDA-Forums..I guess
to install them, you've to enable the setting to allow
download apps from 3rd party sites..Good luck

Once I download one, how do I open it and apply?

When you download it, make sure to move it to the HWThemes folder. A number of the ones from XDA end in .zip, so you would have to change the extension to be .hwt instead. After changing it, move it to that folder.

You would open the Themes app on your phone to open it and apply said theme.

If you'll like to change the icons, just make sure that your theme of choice is selected and tap customize and then tap what you'll want to change.

That's odd. I wonder if it just isn't optimized for mobile. It works just fine on a pc browser though.

I agree with you. That is a silly decision on their end, but I tried it on my phone just like you, and had no luck either.

That's the only thing it can be.

Hello! You can change theme to your personal preference by following these steps. Open click to enlargeThemes, select a theme, and then touch click to enlarge. Touch click to enlarge to mix and match lock screen methods, wallpapers, application icons, and more. Please let us know if this works for you. (jj)

EMUI international on Google plus is another great source for themes. I'm rocking a nice pixel theme I found on the blogspot link posted earlier.

Just saw this thread. I'm going to check out the themes they have. Just to make sure, these themes are for this software, correct? Or in other words it doesn't alter EMUI in any way does it? I love everything about Honor's interface.

Yep. All themes marked for EMUI 4.0/4.1 are safe bets. Some might change how things look though but not so much that it will look like a whole another phone.
