It does seem more positive than usual!


The scam stories just break my heart. My Husband & I both had problems with prior trade-ins.
My husband's trade-in disappeared after it was received & mine was switched for a broken device. Samsung made it right for us, but it left scars.

Probably because the thieves at FedEx aren't getting their hands on them this year.

I'm being funny here, but that was a issue with FedEx. Not saying UPS is better, but let's hope.

I dropped my trade-in off at the UPS Store on this past Friday. I just saw on the Samsung site that it was delivered to the Irving, TX facility. Hopefully there won't be any issues going forward.

Ok so my trade in phone and buds are at their shipping spots. I'm nervous with my buds 3 because Best Buy goes through fedex. Fingers crossed that everything goes well. I got all my pictures and videos ready just in case Att and Best Buy want to tussle. Lol

My success confirmation was early evening after two full business days but don't sweat it too much. They've got 14 days to do it and my experience has been 5 days or less after they acknowledge receipt. That's with multiple trade ins over the years..

They got mine on Monday (03/16/26) also. No email or update on the Samsung Shop app.

I believe they have 14 business days. After that you can call in and they will manually approve it.

I'm assuming they have a lot to get through. My 2nd trade got there Monday and I got the received email but no approval yet. It was an s22 ultra but I'm sure we will all see something soon.

has anyone tried to get an extension from Samsung.com for the trade in "ship out" date?

i was out of the country on a trip when the phone arrived, and when i returned, i only had a little time to set my new phone up. i want to be certain that i got everything i needed before rushing to ship the old phone back to trade in.

i wonder if they are tough about extending the date or are they easygoing about it?

Yes I did. My trade in was supposed to ship by tomorrow (Sunday). My dumbass waited to the last minute. Yesterday (Friday) I had trouble getting my s25 factory reset and had to call them. Kept getting a network error. They had me take to it to my nearest ifixit location which wasn't really close by. I asked for an extension incase I didn't get the issue resolved in time. I got transferred to someone with either accounts or order info. I explained the situation to them and they extended my trade in for a week. It didn't seem to be much of a hassle.

So in short, I asked for an extension, I got an extension for a week,call the customer service and talk to a real person. 1800samsung.

Well if samsung said they got it and didn't inspect it within 14 days then it should be you automatically get the credit since they didn't inspect it within that time they had it

When day 15 hits they do a ticket and you wait. Been there, done that.

Been a week now and nothing.. I got the official notification from Samsung that they got my phone so I know it wasn't stolen in transit.

I've been thru this before as I usually wait a week before sending the trade in to Samsung. Out of the blue you will get the magical trade in accepted. Asong as they acknowledged they received your trade in you are good, you just have the pain of waiting for the accepted email.
