New to Android... Lollipop 5.0

I am newto iOS and the way they do the updates. I have the HTC one M8 and I want to know how can I get the latest version of Android. I know Android fragmentation is a problem but lollipop looks really good. Any ideas on how to get it or do I have to wait until HTC releases their version? I don't mind if I have to root my phone but I want lollipop 5.0.

Its not called iOS first off that's for apple products. But yes you will have to wait for HTC to release the update to you but the M8 will get it sometime.

You can check the website androidcentral.com, there's an article a couple of days ago about updating OTA. it's got a complete manual how to update. And links to dl the OTA.
