Okay ran into a problem, i synced my iphones contacts to gmail, but then i cant use the cappy yo snyc the contacts? Im pretty sure i followed the tutorial right,but something must be wrong, how do i analyze wheres wrong?

MENU-SETTINGS-ACCOUNTS & SYNC.

Tap your Gmail account and see what is selected to sync. Perhaps CONTACTS was not?

After checking that, go to your CONTACTS and hit MENU-MORE-DISPLAY OPTIONS. I uncheck everything but Google.
Then, MENU-MORE-SETTINGS and make sure SAVE NEW CONTACTS TO GOOGLE is selected. Then you are cloud based for good, and no worries.

Then I guess im not syncing correctly on the iPhone, I did everything on the outlook-email-sync, how do I know that I did it right?

Login to Gmail on a computer and look at your Contacts there. This is the best place (easiest) to pretty-ify your Contacts.

Getting them into Google the first time is a pain. If you are on Outlook, you can try exporting them to Gmail (login to Gmail on a computer and see what format it wants, ,csv I think). It will still require massaging from Gmail to fix them up pretty the first time, but then with my previous post, the work from your phone, you should be set.
