New to Android

Hey everyone! I just got into the market.. I got my Evo a week ago, today, but want to root it. The Froyo 2.2 came out and I updated my Evo, and when I tried to do the bootloader root, it failed...

Is it because I updated to Froyo?

Oh and also, I chose android over iphone because I can make apps and at&t's network plans suck. I have used 1.8 gigabytes of data in a week hah.

Ok, will do. But not a total noob haha. I am very familiar with Android. As I said, I can program pretty well. I was just looking for the quick answer as I was, well, to be honest, kind of lazy. Generally not though, haha

Upgrading to froyo has taken away your ability to root for now, I'm sure an exploit will be found soon though

Haha so far so good. I have been reading so many forum posts trying to grasp everything... Its much, much different than anything in iPhone, so to speak..

Mostly I have been trying to learn the acronyms, like RUU :s

But its great, happy to be busy with something again and to be learning..
