new to android

I have an imac computer . i am thinking of getting my husband an android phone for xmas . he is set up on my computer as a second user . He has his own email and itunes account with his own music i do not share
I have an iphone with my own itunes library and my own music
can we simply log out as me and sign in as him and then sync his music from his itunes library to his new phone

I do not want to mess up my itunes library

Welcome to the forums. I think that will work, but I am not sure as I do not have an Apple PC.

Yes. That will work. I have an iMac with 4 user accounts (wife and 2 kids). They all have I phones and their own iTunes library. My library syncs to my Droid. It was all pretty seamless. I'm not sure how he did it, but one of my kids set something up on my iTunes so when I activated my Droid, all of my songs showed up on my Phone. You should have no issues.

Thanks I want it as simple as possible since he is not very good on the techside and I do all the updates and changes .
It will be his first smartphone and I want to put his music on his phone . He would not want my music . Thats why I set up the imac so i log out and he logs in
no chance of him messing with my stuff

As long as you each have separate logins, there's no chance he can mess with your stuff. Just make sure you log out when you are done using it. My wife occasionally will walk away from the Mac without logging out.

When he gets the phone will i need to do anything special to add his music .
I would log out of me
log in to him
open his itunes
then what ??? just plug in his phone to the imac will it sync his music or do i need something else

I can ask my kid what he did or perhaps someone on here can answer. Whatever he did was really quick and my songs purchased on iTunes showed up on my music app.
