I am very new to this Xoom and like it very much - I am afraid to use the usb cord that came with the Xoom to connect it to my computer, don't know if I could mess it up or what i can do with it if I connect it - can someone tell me exactly what it is used for and what NOT to do if I connect it to my computer? Thanks for any info or advice, Darlene

Nothing will happen. USB is used for file transfer. Nothing will happen, unless of course it turns into a robot and tries to kill you.

it is used to transfer files from then pc to your XOOM, such as pictures, movie, or side loading ebooks into an app such as kindle or nook.

The USB port will not charge your Xoom, do not connect a charger to the USB charger.

Thanks for the info. About chargers, I saw there is a car charger for the Xoom to charge it while you are driving, do you have one or know if they are safe to use? Thanks again, Darlene
