New to the Android Universe

Hi Everybody!!!,

I just purchased the Optimus V Slider, an upgrade from Rumor Touch. I stumbled upon this website while looking for information about the issue I'm having with fast draining and hot battery. Another website mentioned different apps but you had to 'root' the phone. So I looked for what 'root' is, I though it could be like jailbreaking on my itouch. This website popped up, I'm here and know I will learn a lot.

So far from what I seen, this is a great and very informative website.
