New to the ROM Kernel thing

I just flashed my first ROM, baked snack 1.6. I'm wanting to try the step 2 kernel, I do this using the same steps as I did to flash the ROM correct? Also do I have to wipe out the data when installing the step 2 kernel? Thanks for the help!

Found my answer, guess I should read some threads before posting.

Baked snack step 2 is now on my phone. This rom thing is fun!

Super! Baked snack is for Eclair 2.1, right? I'm glad it worked out for you! Be sure to keep a backup of your data and programs before you flash any other ROMs or install any new kernals or modems.

Yes, it's 2.1. I'm going to wait for the official release of 2.2 before I do the upgrade, and try those roms.
