I've only been with VM a month and i get at least one call a day from someone in a distant state asking if i just called them, they show a missed call from me. And more recently, im getting calls from lame online colleges saying i signed up for info. Which i didn't. thought maybe virgin sold my number or maybe i just picked a number that was recently released...anyone else experience this?

I would recommend calling Virgin Mobile about it. I know they recycle phone numbers. I have had my phone number about a year, and I still get a call from some guy about every other month on Saturday mornings asking for his nephew.

If they cannot figure out the phantom calls you supposedly made, they may want to give you another number. My guess is they won't spend a lot of time on it and will want to change your phone number, as that would be the easiest thing for them to do. Please post your resolution. Good Luck!!

Had this issue myself with calls and texts. Ended up having number changed and all is well now. Kinda of a pain letting everyone know your new number again but better than idiots calling and texting 5 and 6 times a day.

What it is, is ur gmail account. When u use gmail to sign into some type of advertising they get u. I had the same problem. Had colleges calling me, had someone call and said I won a free $100 gas card but they need a credit card number I was like no I'm good. What where u enter ur email address that's how they get ur phone number.

im glad your banned. becuase your wrong.

i may not be 100% correct, but this is a better explanation.

the number was taken and spoofed for an automatic dialing service (they can make calls using that number even though virgin mobile can assign it to anyone else) so when that number got reactivated (when you activated your account) the returned calls go to the real number and not the source of the spoofed calls.

what it all boils down to is the person who had that number before you was not very smart when it came to securing their information.
