No. I just got a new Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra (Note). I have no use for a cheap device with a PKB from a Kickstarter.

It looks kinda cool... well sized for pocket carry. I've never used a pkb but folks who have seem to love them. I'd like to find a demo unit somewhere to see what all the excitement is about.

It might cost too much for what some might want to spend, but lots of current speculation is that it will be rather inexpensive. In theory, if one really needs/wants a PKB, then the Slim is probably the only most modern option. Still some potential for some PKB attachment concepts also, fitting such onto a current SLAB phone to get the (almost) best of both worlds.

It's not thin at all, it won't work on AT&T, and it will cost too much. Other than that......
Won't cost too much for those who understand that it's basically the only QWERTY option lol.

So far I believe all Unihertz phones have been $350 or less.

There's lots of various PKBs on eBay, Amazon and other sites. Most of them you'd have to try out only on wifi, but some could probably even be used with your current SIM card. If you're really serious about demoING one, now is a good time. If you are very happy with a SLAB phone, then I doubt a PKB would spark any interest for you.

That’s not terrible. Samsung is doing a good job in that price segment so I’m not sure they’ll have many customers. Best of luck to them though.

I know there's people who love physical keyboards. I do not type enough to have a keyboard take up so much screen all the time. I hope they succeed because the more competition the better for ALL OF US!
Tired of Samsuck, Crapple, and Pixies. I hate them all!

Thanks for the videos @Boon.

The first one is brutally honest. This looks like a step or two backwards. For those of us who used BlackBerry phones in the past, this is an abomination. I know it’s just a kickstarter project but it’s still bad.

The second guy seems like an apologist making excuses as best he can. Not sure what else to say.

I don’t think we’ll ever see a quality pkb phone again, but, who knows? As I’ve said before the world has moved on but it would be nice to see something decent for those who still want the pkb experience. This ain’t it.

I like it! An equal opportunity hater lol. At least you'll never be called a fanboy :p

I think they're both honest.

M Fisher doesn't spend enough time on the fact that the keys feel better than any of their prior phones, and surprisingly close to those of an actual Berry. That is a HUGE accomplishment in itself.
It's their third device, while it took BB years and millions to perfect their keyboard experience.

To be fair, the balance while typing thing I saw that coming the moment I saw the first leaked image, with that keyboard way at the bottom with insufficient chin space below it. Had the modifier row been at the bottom, it would have been close to perfect. But as is, it should still be serviceable with the rubber case and maybe a phone ring, which should help with grasp.

And he didn't mention how the spacebar isn't a fingerprint sensor, and therefore shouldn't be prone to failing down the road like the KEY2 notoriously did.

I agree with him that there isn't really an excuse for omitting the headphone jack on a phone this thick when most of their tiny phones have one.

It seems like they could have put a bit more thought into this one, but still, as is, being that the screen is bigger and the keys won't give the user sore thumbs, it should be a win overall even compared to the Pocket and especially the Titan. The OG Titan's keyboard is just bad (at least both units I had back in 2020) which means a glass keyboard was actually better than that one.

That's the first Mr Mobile review I have ever watched, and I don't generally watch videos to get my information. I have no real idea about how he normally reviews things, but I found for that video it was almost seemingly trying to be dramatic in what it (the message) was presenting.
