New update for EVO 3D? 8/26

The 2 things I noticed was vastly improved battery life and faster 3G download speeds. Still don't have 4G in Phoenix where I live.
My 4G speeds just jumped up by 2mbps
because... We'll, only because Sprints 4G service ALWAYS fluctuates like crazy, lol.

BTW, I have NOT taken the OTA. My speeds jumped because, as I was saying, that's what 4G speeds do.

Well you can check "settings/software update/HTC software update" and press check now to see if it appears

Downloaded the apks to phone, but they will not install. Any reason why? Has HTC/Sprint pulled this update for some reason?

I just tried them myself - wouldn't install on mine either.
Someone said it updated the radio - is there a place to find out information about your radio under settings? All I can see is my PRL settings.
I have to download apps twice so they can install after update and GPS still messed up when you use the toggle widget it shuts down sense.

lol, as in, 'lol, I wouldn't actually update these apks without knowing EXACTLY what they do', because they are from HTC, who has lied about and lawyer-scrubbed every one of their recent OTA's.
Maybe it's just me, but I'm definitely not gonna blindly do anything when it comes to them.
Did you take their unlock method?
How's that working out for you?

I'm sure, like any system apks, that you need to correct permissions, reset to readonly, and reboot without installing.

God no!... on the unlock method after I read about the issue of basically registering for 'no support for life' AND the total reset of everything. Those things aren't worth what I'd get which for me would be the ability to get rid of a few more programs I don't want and wifi tether. I only need hotspot a few days a month and since they prorate it at about a $1 a day it'd cost MANY $ of my time to do this.
It was just annoying that they took away perma-temp root which was all I wanted right around the time I got my 3D.
I'm assuming that you must be on hboot 1.5, either thru installing the latest ota? or just getting this phone? Is that correct?

I wanted to uninstall and reinstall this sprint 4g corp ...but after in unstalled the one in the update i cannot get this apk to install... it just gives me an error .. any suggestions as to how to force this installation? does it need to be in some certain folder on the phone to work?

I have been going to System Updates and trying to get HTC Software updates but each time it says "Your phone is up to date" This is so weird. Did HTC pull this update or is there something with my phone??
