New update trying to push to my G2

I keep getting alerted about a new software update for my Verizon G2. Anyone took this, I don't want it if its buggy and problematic. Also, how do I turn off the alert altogether and do it in my own time? I choose the option to install at a later time and set it to late tonight but it keeps popping up anyway. I am currently on 4.2.2

Hopefully this is the sign of good news to come

Also as long as you didn't flash a ROM or a new recovery you will be fine to take the update.. The issue is with the people who have flashed a ROM then they run into the risk of bricking their phone

Check your bill number. An update was released back in October bringing the software build to VS98011A, but still Android 4.2.2. Check to see what build you are currently running.
