Are there any new updates for the Android HTC 10 phone or has the company stopped providing their customers with anymore much-needed software protection?

I dont think so , they pretty much gone as a phone company

If that's the phone I think it is it's 5 years old, regardless of phone manufacturer it wouldn't have a new version of Android available.

If you're interested in a higher Android version, you'd have to root the phone and install a custom ROM -- the forums at XDA-Developers.com would be a good resource for that.
