Fair dues. I think I'll go ahead and take the plunge anyway - as soon as I do a complete app backup.

I installed it. Haven't had a chance to put it through its paces, but I did notice that the font for the clock in the lower right corner changed. Nice to see that Asus continues to support its older devices.

I noticed that, too. It also changed the sentence casing in the apps drawer. Maybe it did more for the JB launcher.

Here's hoping it solves the problem with the device rebooting at random. Drives me nuts.

Seems faster than before and I like the new clock font.

Seems zippier to me so far. I never had significant random reboot problems, so can't comment on that.

Over in Transformerforums.com, people are reporting that the new update has fixed the HDMI audio problem. Anyone else able to confirm this? I never had the problem to begin with, so I can't tell.

I'm putting my TF300 through its paces while docked to the keyboard, which before actually seemed to slow things down more. But now, it's quite fast and smooth. It looks like Asus really did its homework on this update--of course, I hope I'm not speaking too soon!

I had the random reboots a lot and it is so terrible. Now I know I must update. I hope they fixed the issue where Balanced Mode ran more smoothly than Performance Mode.

Performance mode certainly seems faster now.

Thank. Goodness. Right now, I keep my tablet in Balanced Mode and it runs fast. If I put it in Performance Mode, it runs fast, but at random times, will get choppy and laggy.

Still no reboots and almost everything is running great. Oddly Skype wasn't picking up either camera for video conferencing until I rebooted the tablet. Works great now though.

And random reboot #1 just happened. Lame sauce.

Dammit. I hate that now, and its still there? Mine used to freeze at times when the screen was off. I guess it would go into such a deep sleep that it would just shut down.

yes, i have just tried it. The update has sorted out some of the random failures as well.

You may have already discussed this in other threads, but have you tried a factory reset? Back when my old Acer A500 was updated from Honeycomb to ICS, it often had weird bugs like random reboots. Once I bit the bullet and did the factory reset, it was super smooth and reliable.
