I made the switch from the iPhone 7+ and i wanted to share my thoughts on my experience after 4 days, for those that may be thinking of getting the V20

The good: no lag or stutters, very smooth overall performance, better ergonomics than the iPhone, great audio quality from the headphones, charges fast, IR blaster is a nice feature to have, expandable storage, nice screen quality, better notification system than iOS, text messages through my vehicle's uconnect system are read while driving which isn't available with the iPhone, sound quality when shooting videos is amazing, better native camera app, the native phone app is smarter and more feature rich

The bad: battery life is superior on the iPhone and I can get more out of a single charge than the V20, more consistent camera experience on iPhone, V20's shots on wide angle camera don't look natural, telephoto lens on iPhone is sweet and better for me than wide angle shots, front camera is much better than V20, iOS has better messaging app and emojis (Android's/LG's emojis are terrible), iOS has much better app integration for example Instagram and Snapchat, much more premium feeling than V20 for the same price, wider range of accessories, waterproof, stereo speakers

I'll give the V20 more time but these are my initial thoughts. It's a great device, but I'm leaning more towards going back to the iPhone because I feel I'm getting more bang for my buck and a better overall user experience.

So the replaceable battery and fast charging isn't enough to make up for the iPhone's better battery life? How much better we talking?

Wide angle has a barrel distortion, like near all wide angle cameras do.. But you can download an app to fix that if you don't like it..

Thanks for your pros and cons.

Let's put it this way...no matter which phone I use, I charge every night. The iPhone is at 40% most nights, I've been charging the V20 early in the evening around 6... buying an extra battery for an already expensive phone doesn't make sense considering the excellent battery I was getting with the iPhone using the phone very heavily...your usage may vary

Jeremiah, thanks for pointing that out, I would love to try the app out, can you tell me which one it is? Thanks!

I need to nerd out on my phones...lol

That's the awesome thing about our phones, we can use them how we please and get what suits us...I do like to tinker but it never factors in my decision

Every year I get tempted to get an iPhone but for some reason don't.... Someday

I used one for about a month in between the Note 7 and the V20. I was pleasantly surprised at how much there was to like about iOS. If the 7 Plus had been readily available, I would probably have kept it. There's nothing wrong with trying something different to keep things fresh. I even break out my M8 Windows every now and again just for fun.

The 7+ is a great phone but iOS just can't bring me back yet. I like that they're slowly introducing new things to the OS but it's still too, eh, basic?

Turn the GPS to battery saving mode, and you will see a great improvement. Its accurate enough, and you really dont need that GPS running non stop unless you are driving and need navigation. That goes for about any phone.

I use it for smart lock, so it is always on. :(

The iPhones are great, no denying that. The V20 is a great Android experience though. It's a shame about battery life in Android but it is what it is. The iPhone slaughters most, if not all, Android devices in battery life. At least with LG you can replace the battery you may wear out due to having to charge it more often.

I'm still very happy with my V20s. They're very sliq phones.
