I'm going to shut it down and go to bed soon, and see if it is there when I check again in the morning. I agree it should say something different if it is an update. The odd thing is before I pushed the button to manually update, it said the "last check for updates" was only 10 minutes before I pushed the button. I only manually checked it because someone on the Google Pixel Community said there was an update available. I was shocked when it flashed that an update was available and the info I just took on the screenshot appeared. I figure it will happen to someone else by tomorrow, so I'm not going to do anything now.
The system does check on it's own for updates

I installed it this morning. Too early to tell for sure if this fixed the fluctuating LTE signal issue I had after the update a couple of weeks ago. Would be nice to see a change log.

Hopefully it will fix some notification bugs and carrier app issues that have been reported.

EDIT: Yes. Finally my pop up notifications are working as intended... !!

Well quick observations. After being out and about my signal strength seems much better and stable. And my battery is absolutely doing better. Went to Walmart yesterday for an hour and lost 10% battery listening to music. Had to go back today. Was there for an hour listened to music.. 3% gone! Oh I hope this maintains!

Way off topic - when I click on the "pencil" in the upper right of a post, shouldn't there be a "delete post" option?
